Although I have lived in the Desert Southwest for many years, I grew up around water - Adirondack lakes in the summer and the Gulf of Mexico in winter. So water has always been dear to my heart. Many of my recent photographs have been of the California coast. This fall (2018), I traveled for more than six weeks, mostly on the Oregon and Washington coasts with additional stops at Mono Lake and the Grand Canyon. I was fortunate, as a photographer, to have some dramatic weather.
